New home for Bassetlaw CAB

A new year and a new start for the Bassetlaw Citizens Advice Bureau in Worksop which will move to bigger premises in January.

After 37 years in its current iconic 1930 town centre premises, the bureau will move to the Annexe in the former Registrar’s office at Queen’s Buildings on Potter Street on Thursday 17th January.

Bureau director Stephen Saddington said they were looking forward to a new year in their new home at Queen’s Buildings.

“Thank you to all of our clients and funders for all of their support over the years and we look forward to seeing you in our new premises,” he said.

The Worksop and District Credit Union is currently operating from this building will shortly be moving into the same office building.

The bureau on Central Avenue will be closed for drop in advice between 7th January and 16th January 2013 whilst it relocates to the new building.

The bureau will reopen to the public on Thursday 17th January at 9.30pm at the new building.

Any clients who have an emergency during this 10-day period, such as facing repossession or eviction from their home, should should ring the North Nottinghamshire CABX Helpline on 0844 856 3411, which will be manned from 10am-2pm on Monday to Friday.

Staff on the telephone helpline will be able to make urgent contact with Bassetlaw Citizens Advice Bureau at Worksop.

Alternatively, the Retford branch at 17b The Square is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am to 2pm.
