Nathan races to glory in national kart racing series

Even though he is aged only ten, Nathan beat drivers aged up to 13 in his age category of the series, which has been taken over by Formula One ace Daniel Ricciardo from next year and comprises eight rounds at prestigious race tracks across the country.

He showed superb consistency throughout the year and achieved an incredible tally of 20 podium places, winning the championship with a round to spare and finishing 23 points clear of the runner-up.

The series is run by Andy Cox, who has been involved in kart racing for nearly 30 years as a driver and team manager. He said: “Competing in this series develops the youngsters’ racing skills and helps them race towards their dreams.

“Next year, Daniel hopes to come and check out the young talent for himself.”

Nathan spends about 40 weekends a year at race tracks all over the UK, learning his craft, and has also tested in Spain and Dubai.

He will now spend the winter testing before the new Daniel Ricciardo Series kicks off next April.
