Multiple fires lead crews to talk to residents in Nottinghamshire
All residents have been invited to meet crews and community safety teams between 1pm and 4pm in the Bilsthorpe Miners Welfare Social Club car park to get advice about fire safety.
This comes after several fires have been put out in the area over the last few weeks.

And while the incidents are not believed to be linked, the team want to offer reassurance to people and give them tips and guidance on how to keep safe from fire.
Station manager Matt Reavill, who deals with community safety for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue, said: “As well as responding to fires, road traffic collisions and other incidents whenever people need us, we also provide aftercare support for residents all across Nottinghamshire.
“The fires that we have attended in Bilsthorpe in recent weeks aren’t linked, however we still want to show a presence in the area to help reassure residents that their Fire and Rescue Service is here for them.

“We will be offering people advice on the various things they can do to help protect themselves from fire and keep themselves safe in their own homes, such as making sure they have working smoke alarms, ensuring that they don’t let themselves get distracted while cooking and also that they have escape plans in place should the worse happen.”
