Mr Mann attends business breakfast meeting

Inflation, the cost of finance, fuel prices, and the effect of car parking prices were the key topics of discussion when Bassetlaw MP John Mann met with businesses over breakfast last Friday.

Mr Mann was the special guest at the Derbyshire and Notts Chamber of Commerce’s latest MP’s Breakfast Briefing, which took place at Wilkinson Head Office in Worksop.

The events are designed to give firms the chance to engage directly with their MP about local business issues.

Chief executive of the Derbyshire and Notts Chamber of Commerce George Cowcher thanked Mr Mann for attending the meeting and said it proved extremely useful.

“This was a very open and honest discussion and Mr Mann made it clear that he is very much on the side of businesses here in Nottinghamshire,” he said.

“Events like this give our elected representatives the chance to hear at first hand the issues facing local firms, and give Chamber members the opportunity to directly influence their MP on the issues that matter to them the most.”

“Businesses continue to operate in challenging conditions, and the sheer resilience of local companies is commendable as they continue to work with us to generate new jobs and investment into Bassetlaw.”
