Motorcyclist seriously hurt after crashing into stone wall near Maltby

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured after he crashed into a stone wall near Maltby.

The 57-year-old man was riding past Roche Abbey, on the A634 Blyth Road, when the accident occurred at around 1.50pm on Saturday, September 27.

The man, who was riding a blue Triumph, was part of a group of motorcyclists who were travelling from Maltby towards the village of Stone, when he left the road and crashed in a wall.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw the group riding before the crash, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 618 of September 27, 2014.
