Motorcyclist dies after Bircotes crash

A MOTORCYCLIST has died following a crash in Bircotes.

The collision, between a motorbike and a Ford Focus car, happened in Blyth Road (A614), near to the junction with Scrooby Road, at about 3.15pm today (Monday).

The rider was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the car was treated for shock.

Blyth Road, between Serlby Crossroads and the junction with Scrooby Road, has been closed until further notice while police carry out their enquiries.
