Morrisons in Gainsborough to pilot '˜quiet hour' for customers with autism

Morrisons in Gainsborough is piloting a '˜quiet hour' to make the shopping trip easier for customers with autism.

Lights will be dimmed, music turned off and no tannoy announcements will be made during the quiet hour every Saturday between 9am and 10am.

Things like artificial lighting, loud tannoy announcements and background music can increase anxiety and be completely overwhelming for autistic children and adults.
