Misterton pupils get funds for DARE

Year Six pupils at Misterton Primary School will be able to take part in the DARE programme this year, thanks to donations from North Notts Lions, Nottinghamshire County Council and Coun Hazel Brand of Bassetlaw Council.

Coun Brand presented cheques for £125 to pupils and teacher Andrew Green.

DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is an international substance abuse prevention education programme that aims to prevent drug and alcohol misuse, bullying, and peer pressure.

The youngsters will put their learning into practice with a graduation presentation to parents and governors at the end of the course.
