The festival, which was run by the Parish Council and held in the Parish Church, attracted 22 entries.

The competition was judged by Sid Burgess, who was this year’s parish council Citizen of the Year for his own annual Christmas lights extravaganza.

He declared the school’s the best entry, with highly commended rosettes awarded to Stan White Farms for a tree made out of beetroot, and to Kidz’ Klub (All Saints’ Sunday School).

Sid was then called upon to switch on the Christmas lights on Windmill Garden.

This was followed by the arrival of Santa.

Residents were invited into the church to see the display of Christmas trees and for warming drinks, while Fiona and Henry Law played seasonal music.
