The volunteer team which launched on 5th April 2004 has continued to go from strength to strength and the group of qualified Community First Responders have attended over 1,600 emergency call outs since then.

Group coordinator, Martyn Johnson, said: “Over the last ten years we have received a massive amount of support from the local community.”

“Including fantastic fund raising efforts from individuals, businesses and organisations, as well as many kind words, letters and emails of encouragement for what we do.”

“Therefore we thought it would be nice to mark this important milestone with a celebration event where members of the public, including those who have supported us, or even those who have been attended by us, can come along and join us for tea, coffee and cake.”

“It is our way of saying thank you back to all those who have supported us over the years.”

“We’d like as many people as possible to call in and celebrate with us.”

The team are holding a celebration coffee morning on Saturday 29th March, from 10.30am to 1.30pm at the Methodist Hall in High Street, Misterton .

All members of the local community are invited to go along and celebrate 10 years of this voluntary organisation.
