Missing prisoner could be heading to South Yorkshire

A PRISONER who failed to return to a Kent prison is believed to be travelling to South Yorkshire.

Shaun Battye, 37, failed to return to Rochester Prison on Monday after a day of work as part of his sentence.

Kent Police said Battye is believed to be travelling to the South Yorkshire area as he has family in Rotherham, Doncaster and Sheffield. He also uses the name Tristan Lea.

Battye is described as 5ft 9in tall, with blue eyes and mousey brown hair. He is stocky build and has a Yorkshire accent.

He was wearing prison-issue green work trousers over blue jeans, a striped t-shirt and a high visibility jacket.
