Men in hospital after car overturns near Worksop

A MAN was air lifted to hospital and another taken by land ambulance after a car overturned on the B6034 Ollerton Road.

The accident happened just after 1pm today, Tuesday 18th December, close to Scotland Farm at Budby near Worksop.

The two men were in a car which had left the road and ended up on its roof.

They were out of the vehicles when emergency services arrived but both were transferred to hospital.

It is not yet known how serious their injuries are.

Ambulance, police and fire crews attended the scene.

Fire crews from Worksop, Edwinstowe and Tuxford helped ambulance crews attend to the casualties.

They also made the vehicle safe as it was leaking fuel.

The incident comes just days after 24-year-old Wayne Slack lost his life on the same road at Carburton.

His car left the road and plunged into a river on Sunday 9th December.
