Masked intruders fought off by brave staff at Hemswell Antiques Centre

INTRUDERS wearing Halloween masks were waiting for staff to open up Hemswell Antiques Centre on Wednesday morning.

The brave women fought off the three masked men who then fled through a window.

It is thought they left the scene in a blue 4x4 vehicle which was driven across a field at the back of the centre, which is on the Caenby Corner Estate at Hemswell Cliff.

Police are treating the incident, which happened at 9.45am on Wednesday 7th November, as attempted robbery.

The men involved have been described as white, and all wearing dark clothing and halloween type masks.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.

They are also looking to trace the blue 4x4 thought to have been the get-away vehicle.

Anyone with information should call Det Const Tina Kennedy of Gainsborough CID via the non-emergency number 101.

Quote incident number 111 of Wednesday 7th November.
