Martin’s marathon run

Martin Richardson, 29, completed the gruelling 26.2 mile London marathon course in six and half hours.

He chose the charity as it was close to his and girlfriend Katie’s hearts and said doing the marathon was the ‘best thing’ he’s ever done.

“It started to feel really difficult by the 18th mile but there was such a great atmosphere and so many people cheering us on, giving up was just not an option,” he said.

“My thanks go to everyone who supported me on the day and to customers who came into Rob Dolby’s Butchers to donate money for Tommy’s.”
