Marshall's Yard shops showcase summer fashion on the catwalk

It’s the second year running that the Gainsborough shopping centre has hosted an August Fashion show offering top style and make up tips.

This year’s theme was a ‘Day at the Races’, just in time for the popular Doncaster St Leger Festival which takes place next month.

Browns, New Look, Laura Ashley and Next all took to the cat walk and the event also included beauty demonstrations from Benefit and Body Shop.

Lucy Doxey from Lincs FM presented the event along with the personal stylist Hayley Eleanor.

Shoppers were treated to a glass of prosecco and the M&S team also handed out canapes throughout the afternoon.

Centre Manger, Alison Hall, said: “Last year’s event was really popular so we were delighted to stage the fashion show for the second year running and we were really lucky with the lovely weather we had at the weekend.

“It’s such a great opportunity for our stores here at Marshall’s Yard to show some of the beautiful summer fashions available at the moment.

“We had some lovely feedback about the event and our stores here at Marshall’s Yard had some great ideas for a day at the races or those special summer occasions.”

The Marshall’s traditional ice cream trike was also on site selling traditional ice cream cones and youngsters took advantage of bean bags around the fountain area to enjoy the sunshine during the event.

A fundraising raffle was also held during the event to raise money for the centre’s chosen charity the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
