Man urged to contact police

Concerns are mounting for the welfare of an elderly man, who was seen wandering the streets of Retford in his dressing gown.

Notts Police received a report at around 11pm last night (Monday 25th June) after a man entered the Black Boy pub in Moorgate.

A spokesman said: “He had a brief conversation with staff, who said he appeared confused and could not say where he was from, before leaving the premises and heading towards the town centre.”

“He has not been seen since.”

Police are now hoping to trace the man, who they say does not match the description of anyone reported missing to them.

He is described as white, about 5ft 6ins tall and aged in his mid to late-60s. He has dark hair and is bald on top.

He was wearing a red and black checked dressing gown and possibly slippers.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Notts Police on 101 or call Crime stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
