Man rescued from vehicle after crash in Derbyshire

Emergency services rushed to a crash on a Derbyshire road on Friday night.

The collision – involving a van and a car – happened on the A619 between Barlborough and Whitwell.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said at around 9.15pm: “One male casualty has been extricated from a vehicle and is now in the care of East Midlands Ambulance Service.

“Crews from Staveley and Clowne attended this incident.”

No further information has been released at this stage.
