Man injured in A57 crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Aston on 17th August.

The accident happened at 10.43am on the A57 Aston Way at the junction with the B6067 Worksop Road.

A silver Land Rover Discovery was travelling along the A57 towards the M1, approaching the junction, when a white Kia Domino car, travelling along the A57 in the opposite direction, apparently lost control after leaving a roundabout and crossed a grassed central reservation into the path of the Land Rover.

The Kia driver, a 65-year-old man from Anston, suffered fractures to his ribs and collar bone. He was freed and taken to Rotherham General Hospital. The Land Rover driver, a 64-year-old woman from Ridgeway, Sheffield, suffered slight shock but didn’t need hospital treatment.
