Man dies after being hit by train in Whitwell
A man died after being hit by a train in Derbyshire last night.
Emergency services were called to the line close to Whitwell railway station just after 9.15pm after receiving reports that someone had been struck by a train.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Sadly a man died at the scene.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
