Man broke police officer’s wrist in drunk ‘scuffle’

A DRUNKEN Worksop man broke a police officer’s wrist after being arrested for disorderly behaviour.

Matthew Morris, 41, of Ely Close, had shouted abuse at police, was agitated and had to be restrained, Chesterfield magistrates heard.

He was taken to Chesterfield police station where he twisted PC Gareth Buxton’s left wrist, causing a loud, cracking noise.
