A man who was arrested after a woman was found seriously injured in Nottinghamshire has been has been released on police bail.
Paramedics were called to Strawberry Road, Thrumpton, near Retford, here a 40-year-old woman was found seriously hurt.
She was rushed to hospital where last night she remained in a critical condition.
Nottinghamshire Police have appealed to the public for information about the incident, following the call on the evening of Friday, July 8.
A force spokesman said: “The cause of her injuries is not yet known, but a 30 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
“If anyone has any information about this incident or the cause of the woman’s injuries they should call 101, quoting incident number 876 of July 7.
