Man admits to stealing £25k car

A BURGLAR stole a new car in Worksop after breaking into a house and taking the keys.

Kevin McAllister, 27, pleaded guilty at Nottingham Crown Court to burglary in Meadow Lea on 8th July.

He also admitted theft of the Vauxhall Astra, registered this year and valued at over £25,000. He denied driving the car dangerously in Cross Street, Doncaster three days later.

Dawn Pritchard, prosecuting, offered no evidence on that charge and Judge Jonathan Teare allowed it to lie on the file. McAllister, of Charlesworth Avenue, Bolsover, entered his pleas on Thursday by video link from Lincoln prison.

He was remanded in custody until sentencing on 4th November.
