Man admits Christmas drink driving

A FATHER-OF-ONE drove to a shop after drinking on Christmas day, a court heard.

Munyaradzi Jani, 29, of South Avenue, Worksop, admitted drink driving on 25th December. He also admitted driving without insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

Neil Major, prosecuting, said police received a call saying a car had collided with a fence on Lincoln Street. They attended and Jani was breathalysed, giving a reading of 93mcgms alcohol in 100mls breath.

Simon Greaves, defending, said Jani, who has a second child on the way, admitted he was the driver the next day. He will be sentenced on Monday.
