Maltby: Event to rekindle community spirit
A community information day will be held at Redwood Drive Community Centre in Maltby on Saturday 1st June.
It has been organised by Rotherham Borough Councillors Lauren Astbury and Jenny Andrews to try to re-establish both the Cliff Hill Community Association and the Neighbourhood Watch group.
Both groups were once successful in the past, but have suffered a decline.
Help and advice will be available on the day from the Rotherham Neighbourhood Watch Association, Rotherham Council’s ‘Carers Corner’, Wentworth Valley Area Assembly, Yorkshire Housing, Maltby Town Council, South Yorkshire Police and the National Autistic Society.
Both councillors are hoping for a good attendance in their attempt to raise a better community spirit on the estate.
The event runs from 10am - 12 noon.
