Maltby: Car fire believed to have been started deliberately

Firefighters from Maltby were called to deal with a car fire that is believed to have been started deliberately.

The incident, on Blyth Road in Maltby, was called in at 3.25am on Thursday morning (13th February).

No-one was injured in the blaze and investigations are continuing.

Maltby firefighters also joined Edlington firefighters to remove a tree that had fallen on to a car during overnight storms, partly blocking the road..

The incident was on Apy Hill Lane in Tickhill and it is not known if the car was parked or moving when the tree hit it.

Fortunately, no-one was injured in the incident.
