Major jobs boost at Yorkshire Wildlife Park
The recruitment drive starts next Saturday (17/1) with an open morning when prospective candidates can speak to staff about being part of the YWP team.
Vacancies in education, customer service and catering are up for grabs as the Park continues its exciting expansion plans through 2015.

“We are thrilled that we can once again offer such a large number of jobs at the park,” said YWP HR Manager Clare Pearson. “It is a major task and it will be an extremely busy day. We are looking for enthusiastic and hard-working people who want to deliver the excellent customer service that we pride ourselves on and has helped us become such a popular destination.
“We had a record number of visitors last year – more than 500,000 – and expect that to grow this year as we bring in new animals including some company for Victor the Polar Bear.”
The jobs will run through the main season of March to October and involve work with teams in all areas of the business. They include: Catering Assistants, Chefs, Education Assistants, Leisure Assistants, Visitor Service Assistants, and Animal Rangers.

Hide AdThe innovative walk-through park was opened in April 2009 and visitor numbers have grown each year as it continues to build an enviable international reputation for visitor experience and animal conservation.
YWP Director Cheryl Williams added: “We have grown beyond belief and now need lots more staff to help run smoothly. There is a great sense of pride in being part of a team at YWP. The animals are the main attraction but they need an army of helpers and support staff to make YWP the success it is today.”
YWP brings visitors almost face to face with some of the world’s most beautiful and rare animals, including Amur Tigers and Leopards, Giraffes, Lions, a Polar Bear and many more.
Since opening YWP has delivered a significant boost to both tourism and the local economy, creating hundreds of jobs and delivered over £6m to the area,
