A series of restrictions will be in place along the M1 this week as part of the ‘smart motorway’ construction project in South Yorkshire and Derbyshire.
Until winter 2016 there will be various restrictions in place between junctions 28 and 35a, including lane closures, speed restrictions, hard shoulder running and overnight slip road or carriageway closures.
Today, between 8pm and 6am, the southbound entry slip roads will be closed at junction 29a - Duckmanton - and 28 - Alfreton.
The southbound entry slip road at junction 29a will also be closed tomorrow, Thursday and Friday.
On Thursday the southbound entry slip road at junction 31 - Aston - will be closed along with northbound exit slip road at junction 28.
On Friday and Saturday the northbound exit slip road at junction 28 will be closed again.
And on Sunday the southbound exit slip road at junction 30 - Barlborough - will be closed.
