Lorry driver hurt in crash

POLICE were called to reports of a crash at the Dukeries Industrial Estate after a lorry collided with a wall on Tuesday night.

The 31-year-old driver of the lorry, which overturned in the incident, had to be extracted from the vehicle.

He was taken to Doncaster Royal Infimary with minor injuries.

Claylands Avenue was closed between its junctions with Gateford Road and the A57.

The road to Claylands Avenue from the A57 was closed all Wednesday morning to carry out safety checks.

Highways re-opened the road around 2pm that afternoon.
