Local man in court after woman stabbed

A LOCAL man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in Gainsborough.

Police responded to reports that a woman had been attacked in her home at Glentham Road at 5.35pm on Thursday 15th September.

Claire Louise Boswell, 43, was taken to Lincoln County Hospital and treated for stab wounds.

She has since been transferred to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham where she remains in a serious but stable condition.

Paul Henry, 45, of Lea Place, Gainsborough has since been charged with attempted murder.

Henry appeared before Lincoln Magistrates Court on Monday 19th September.

He spoke only to confirm his name, age and address in court and no plea was entered.

Henry was remanded in custody until he must appear at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday 26th September for a plea and case management hearing.
