Local charities £10k boost
TWO local charities have received a welcome boost from an annual charity ball.
Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and Lost Chord have each collected cheques for £5,000 which was raised at Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce’s annual president’s charity ball.
The organisations were nominated as chosen charities by the chamber’s president Chris MacCormac, and received their cheques received their cheques in front of over 400 guests at the Magna Centre during the Barnsley and Rotherham Business Awards evening. The funds were donated by guests at the Magic of the Musicals ball, sponsored by Tata Steel, which took place at Magna in May.
