Lincs: Plans to help reduce number of incidents during roadworks

Plans are being made to improve communication and understanding between road users and its employees during roadworks.

This comes after a spate of incidents on Lincolnshire roads.

To help reduce the number of these incidents and gain a better understanding from the public, Kier Group, which is paer of is part of Lincs County Council’s Highways Alliance, has produced a toolkit for its colleagues designed to help improve communication between those using the road and workers during times of road or lane closures.

Coun Richard Davies, executive member for highways at Lincs County Council, said: “We’re working very hard with our highways partner Kier to improve the Lincolnshire road network for everyone and understand the disruption that roadworks can cause for motorists.”
