Mr Jones has also previously been Deputy Leader of the City of Lincoln Council.

Marc said: “It is a great privilege to be chosen by county residents as the Conservative candidate for next year’s Police and Crime Commissioner Election.

“As the father of a little girl it is so important to me that we have the safest streets possible here in Lincolnshire and a police force which is the envy of the country.

“My priorities will be boosting both neighbourhood and rural policing as well as working with our hardworking officers to ensure victims of crime are at the forefront of everything we do.

“I will also be a Police and Crime Commissioner who will work in a positive way with our Government and MPs to get the best funding deal for Lincolnshire Police.”
