Lincolnshire’s drought damaged roads

A MULTI-MILLION pound bid has been submitted by Lincolnshire County Council to the Department for Transport for cash to repair drought-damaged roads.

The authority has submitted its bid for £6.5m to target 154 priority sites where road surfaces are cracking due to shrinking soil and lack of moisture. Five neighbouring council have also applied.
