Last year, 17 people were found to be sleeping rough, compared to 42 the year before.

The secret to success has been attributed to the unique Lincolnshire Homeless Strategy Group, which is attracting national attention.

The partnership launched its five-year homeless strategy last year aimed at tackling and preventing homelessness.

Chair of the group, Michelle Howard said: “I am really proud of the work we are doing, it is positive and it is on-going.”

“A key strength is the way we have joined up and aligned strategies and action plans across the county.”

“For example, our domestic abuse strategy is now linked to our homelessness strategy – important because domestic abuse is one of the key triggers of homelessness.”
