Leah Turner had her long locks, which will be made into a wig for a child who has lost their hair due to chemotherapy, cut off at Roscoe’s salon on Ryton Street recently.

The 13-year-old, who attends Outwood Academy Valley, said: “My friend Olivia Gallagher inspired me to get my hair cut after she donated her hair too. I am so excited to be making a difference.”
