Law firm’s donation to Bluebell Wood hospice

Staff at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice were over the moon to receive a £1,140 donation from a Sheffield law firm.

This is the second year running that partners and staff at Wake Smith LLP nominated the hospice as its charity of the year.

Alongside the dress down days, cake sales, quiz and race nights, the company held a raffle at their annual Christmas luncheon club event at Sheffield City Hall.

Elizabeth Shaw, partner and chair of the charity board committee at Wake Smith LLP said: “Raising money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice as well as supporting other charities where possible, demonstrates our commitment to supporting the local community.”

“The feedback we’ve received from the volunteer co-ordinators and the fundraising team with regards to the impact the donations have made keeps us inspired to be creative with our fundraising and keep up our charitable activities.”

Heidi Megaughin, Bluebell Wood acting chief executive added: “We are very grateful to Wake Smith and would like to thank them for their continued support.”
