Laughton Common Post Office is moving to a new location to create a modern open-plan local-style branch with extended opening hours.
The Post Office is now inviting customers and interested parties to give their comments on the move in a six-week public consultation.
The new Laughton Common branch would offer Post Office products and services from two open plan service points integrated into the retail counter.
The proposed new location for the branch is Londis in Outgang Lane, Dinnington. This is 650 metres from the present post office in Hangsman Lane.
Should the move go ahead, the branch would open from 6am to 10pm seven days a week which would be 66 hours a week more than are currently offered.
Post Office Regional Manager, Suzanne Richardson, said: “We understand how important having a Post Office is to residents in Dinnington and we are confident that this new modern Post Office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.”
Consultation ends on July 5. To comment email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 03457 22 33 44.
