Tom Brown’s Brasserie, in Gunthorpe, will host the event on Thursday March 3 between noon and 3pm and will raise money for Bloodwise.

Those in attendance will hear from Professor Chris Fox, consultant haematologist at Nottingham University Hospitals Trusr, and Richard Stanley, senior research nurse, about how the funds raised by the charity makes a difference to local patients.

Professor Fox said: “We are delighted to attend this event and be able to talk to the ladies of Nottinghamshire about the clinical research we undertake for blood cancer patients.

“The commitment from Bloodwise to support blood cancer research, particularly through funding clinical trials, results in a significant and positive impact on patient care. Richard and I are looking forward to meeting many people at this event.”

The lunch will consist of a three course meal, with a glass of prosecco upon arrival, and ladies will be given the chance to view the latest spring/summer collection from local boutique Stella & Dot.

Tickets cost £30. To buy tickets, or help to fundraise, call 0131 5241326.
