Kiveton Park: Creepy House fun at library.

Children visiting Kiveton Park Library over the summer have been able to enjoy a whole host of spookily-themed activities.

The Creepy House programme, a national scheme designed to encourage children to read over the summer holiday, offered rewards and prizes for reading a certain number of books.

Celebrities, specially-designed characters and a dedicated web portal have all backed the scheme, which saw hundreds of local children sign up to read at least six books over the holidays.

Over the summer, a number of themed activities have been held in conjunction with the reading challenge.

Children from across the area have been invited in to hear stories, unleash their own imaginations, and even create props to accompany their own spooky tales.
