Theatre group Kismet win award at Wakefield Theatre Festival
Kismet returned to Yorkshire on Saturday for the closing night of the Wakefield Theatre Festival.

And in spite of just one week’s notice they left with the trophy for third place overall, as well as a raft of nominations.

All five actresses - Jeanne Bain, Dawn Cowan, Emma French, Kerry Greenwood and Paddy Johnson were nominated for best actress.

Kismet members were delighted to respond to festival organiser Paul Hayley’s plea for help when another theatre group dropped out at very short notice, leaving the festival without a Monday night performance.
