Sheldon Altheron, 36, of Alexandra Street, did not enter a plea when he appeared before magistrates in Mansfield, on Thursday.
It is alleged he possessed heroin and cocaine, with intent to supply, on August 19, last year.
Mr Atherton was sent to Nottingham Crown Court for a hearing on April 27.
