Kids grin and bear it

LOCAL youngsters went dotty on Friday to raise money for Children In Need.

Pupils at Anston Springwood Primary enjoyed a non-unifrom day with youngsters arriving for lessons in all kinds of spotty clothing.

Some even went a step further by wearing spotty facepaint.

Children at Aughton Primary raised a fantastic £188.37 through a host of different activities.

A unhealthy tuck shop and bun sale was organised and baked by the Aughton Primary’s Parent Association, while children and staff dressed in spots with Pudsey bear ears.

And one teacher made donations for every children in her year five and six class who got their spellings correct.

Over at Anston Park Junior School, children put on their aprons to make yummy cakes to sell on a stall.

Tots at Hall Day Nursery didn’t just spend Friday raising money for Children In Need.

As well as taking part in a sponsored walk, the two to three-year-olds took part in a dance-a-thon, while the three to five-year-olds took to the stage in a talent show.

All of the schools raised much needed cash to help children in the UK and across the world.
