The gig is part of Forest Live, the annual concert series promoted by the Forestry Commission, where Bugg will play on Thursday, June 23, at Sherwood Pines Forest, near Mansfield.

Bugg’s incredible ascent began in 2012 when his self-titled debut album entered the UK charts at number one and went on to sell double platinum, when he was just 18.

Success only accelerated Bugg’s creative momentum, releasing a follow-up twelve months later, 2013s richly textured Shangri La, recorded in Malibu with Rick Rubin.

That album returned Bugg to the top five, earning him his second BRIT nomination, a landmark show at London’s Royal Albert Hall and a sold out UK arena tour.

His eagerly-awaited third album is expected for release this year.

Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission to bring forests to new audiences.

Income generated from ticket sales is spent on protecting, improving and expanding England’s forests and woodlands and increasing their value to people and wildlife.

Tickets go on sale at 9am, March 2.
