Fans of contemporary printmaking should get down to the Rufford Craft Gallery in Ollerton this summer for a special exhibition.
Small Print:Big Impression is a touring exhibition and an international showcase of contemporary fine art printmaking, presenting artists from across the UK and as far afield as the US and New Zealand.
Originated by Leicester Print Workshop, the exhibition features a diverse range of printmaking techniques including screen prints, etching, lithography and relief work as well as digital prints.
The unique characteristic of the exhibition is the scale of the prints with no image larger than 100 square centimetres.
The exhibition features more than 100 artists and 150 works, all of which are for sale and is accompanied by a full colour book.
The Rufford Craft Centre boasts a picturesque location at the heart of the 150 acre Rufford Abbey Country Park, which makes it the perfect place for a summer day out.
The Small Print:Big Impression exhibition, which opened on Sunday 24th July, runs until 29th August. The gallery is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10.30am to 5pm, as well as the August Bank Holiday Monday.
If you have been inspired by printing and want to explore printing for yourself, artists from the Leicester Print Workshop will be running a series of introductory level printmaking classes in the Autumn, also at the Rufford Craft Centre.
