Is McDonald's table service coming to you?
Hundreds of McDonald's restaurants across the country are expected to have table service by the end of the year.
The fast food giant announced their table service trial was successful in other restaurants across the country, and that they will be rolling this out in newly-transformed restaurants from this month onwards.
Customers will be able to place their order on touch-screen digital kiosks and have their food brought over to them.
Paul Pomroy, chief executive officer at McDonald’s UK, said: “The trial of table service, where customers place their order via our new digital kiosks and have their food brought to them, has proved so successful.
“I’m delighted to announce that we will be accelerating its roll out across all our newly transformed restaurants from February onwards.”
The first place due to have table service in our region is the Worksop restaurant in March.
The refurbished Gainsborough restaurant also opened in June last year.
In Derbyshire, the Langley Mill restaurant reopened in October, and the Breadsall is due to reopen in July.
The Alfreton store is due to be finished in October 2016.
A McDonalds spokesman said that the service is being rolled out across the country, so there is “a possibility there will be more to follow”.
More than 300 restaurants have been refurbished so dat - and a further 350 are expected to be finished by the end of the year.
