Investigations continue after a fatal stabbing in Worksop

Police remain at the scene of a fatal stabbing in Worksop as enquiries continue.

Officers attended an address in Gladstone Street at about 9.50pm on Monday, June 25.

A 44-year-old man was treated for his injuries at the scene but died shortly afterwards.

A 38-year-old man was located by officers at another address in Worksop and was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody.

Detectives are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

WHAT THE RESIDENTS HAVE SAID ABOUT THE STABBING

Detective Chief Inspector Hayley Williams said: "Our enquiries are ongoing but we believe this was a targeted attack. We’re not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."
