Integration, standardisation, digitisation: the future of Notts Police

Chiefs say the way policing works has changed 'drastically' over the years, and now as officers work 'passionately' to deliver the 'best service' they can, they are informing of the changes yet to come to respond to changing demands, emerging types of crime and public priorities - while also approaching budget restrictions.

The way we police Nottinghamshire has changed drastically over the years.

We passionately believe in our force providing the best service we possibly can for you, our community.

The force said: "This means, among other things, changing our policing structure. This document will explain in detail how policing has developed in Nottinghamshire and how it will continue to evolve. However, the bottom line is that we want to protect frontline resources so we can better protect you and keep you at the heart of our service."

The model outlines the National Police Chiefs' Council plan to:

- integrate the police with other public services; standardise specialist capabilities;

- make digital policing easier and more consistent for the public;

- deliver efficiency and enhance interoperability across the police service.
