Inside look at school’s new Life Skills building

YOUNGSTERS in Thurcroft got a sneaky peak around a new part of their school.

Work on the Life Skills building is now well underway at The Willows School, on Locksley Drive.

The roof was recently finished on the new single storey building and pupils visited to see what work had been done.

They were accompanied on the visit by headteacher Anne Sanderson, assistant headteacher Darren Atkinson, CS Surveying manager John Cawkwell-Stansfield and project architect Rachel Duroe.

Pupils were excited to visit a real building site and see the new building, said a school spokesman.

Now the basic shell of the building has been completed, work is set to start inside. Once it is completed, the Life Skills building will be used for pupils to practice the skills they have learned in a real life situation

The spokesman added: “We hope to promote skills in personal care, independence and other life skills.”
