Injured after‘dog attack’

AN ELDERLY dog owner from Worksop faces accusations she allowed her dog to be dangerously out of control in Manton, injuring one woman.

Mavis Campbell-Main, 80, from Forest Lane, denied the charge at Worksop Magistrates’ Court on Monday 11th June.

The alleged attack from a ‘large mixed breed’ happened on Saturday 26th November 2011.

Kate Beardmore, prosecuting, told magistrates: “It’s described more as a scrape than a bite on the arm of the victim.”

Ms Campbell-Main, who was represented by David Verity, will stand trial on the afternoon of 26th July at the Potter Street court.
