Increase in Mencap calls
Mencap has reported a 360 per cent rise in calls and emails to its helpline from Lincolnshire in the past 12 months.
The charity helps people with learning disabilities and their families.
A spokesman said many of the helpline enquiries concerned community care assessments, personal budget advice and eligibility criteria.

Hide AdOverall calls to the national helpline about community care had increased by 139 per cent in the past 12 months.
In light of this increased demand, Mencap has decided to merge its two helplines into one freephone service, which it believes will make it easier for people with a learning disability to receive the support and information that they need.
